It's sad to lose a friend

Today will be both a bad day and a good day.  Our youngest cat, Jack Frost, a snowshoe siamese will have to go to the vet and be put to sleep.  He hasn't been acting good and our wonderful Veterinarian Dr. Jennifer Strickland ran lab tests on him recently which showed that he had something bad going on.  While not exact Dr. Strickland leans towards a lymphoma or kidney failure.  We had hoped he would have lived his life longer with us but in the past 24 hours his health has greatly declined.

While it's sad I look at the good.  Jack came into animal rescue about four years ago, sick, malnourished and looking at bleak chances he would survive.  Due to the efforts of wonderful people with Kansas City Siamese Rescue and Dr. Laura at Southport Animal Hospital, Jack survived. He went on to be a healthy, happy kitty living in a warm, safe and loving home among other kittens to play and sleep with. He never wanted for food to eat, clean water to drink or a lap to sleep on.

Apparently God has other plans for Jack.  Perhaps to be reborn this time as a healthy kitten from the start.  I think it very likely that somewhere a little girl waits patiently for a kitten she's asked for and little does she know one with little white paws is headed her way.
